LINDA LEAF

Have you heard of Woodville, Wisconsin? Raised on a dairy farm in northern Wisconsin, Woodville, (yes, she is a "leaf" from Woodville) Linda Leaf moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, after graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison Law School in 1975 to "hang out her shingle." She built her own general practice, taking time only to acquire a pilot's license along the way.
After seventeen years of practicing law, new ventures were pulling Linda into different career paths, such as video production, and volunteer work on several non profit boards. And then she fell in love with table tennis. During her recent deceased beloved husband's long battle with cancer, table tennis was her outlet from caregiving.
Currently she is president of the Shorewood Table Tennis Club located in Shorewood, Wisconsin, and teaches table tennis at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. The Shorewood Club is only four years old, but has accomplished much, from sponsoring a table tennis component in the physical education program in the local school, to helping start a new club at an inner city after school facility. The club also sponsors major tournaments. As a 501(c)(3) organization, the Shorewood Club focuses on outreach to "non traditional" table tennis populations.
Linda believes that local clubs around the country, and the players that play in them, are the backbone of USATT. She intends to work on developing ideas and programs that would help create new clubs and enhance existing clubs.
